Will BrickBreaker Make it to the BlackBerry PlayBook? Alternative?

Over the years the BrickBreaker game has become synonymous with the BlackBerry platform. Hopefully RIM will make the game compatible with their upcoming BBM Social Platform but it makes me wonder what game RIM will preload on the BlackBerry PlayBook. They have already announced with EA that Need for Speed Undercover and Tetris will be preloaded but RIM has a tendency to create their own “platform” games like BrickBreaker and Word Mole.

Do you think RIM will ship a copy of BrickBreaker for the PlayBook? Or will they release it with a different game for the PlayBook?

  1. I think it would be a mistake not too, they better use the accelerometer to move the paddle.

  2. I hope they do. Its a BlackBerry staple.

  3. It would be great to see BrickBreaker on the PlayBook. I would really like to see RIM totally overhaul it though. Upgraded graphics are nice, but I would like to see different levels and even more powerups.

  4. Brick Breaker and Word Mole are so pathetic! They are detractors for the BB when you buy one and you realize they came with these sad games from 1995. Ka-Glom, Copter, Pixilated, Gems XXL, Fall Down, any of these are better games that it be nice if they came pre-installed.

  5. I think its a must.. It has to be included, brickbreaker=BlackBerry

  6. Archaic as it is, it still is a good game. I say keep it.

  7. Man, it just wouldn’t feel like a “BlackBerry” without BrickBreaker…

  8. Brickbreaker is awesome. I hope they have a slightly different version for the playbook that offers a more unique tablet experience.

  9. it would be interesting to see it on the playbook’s screen and its performance…

  10. I don’t play many games on my BB but I think the larger screen is going to help with that. I’m hearing there have been some good games submitted to AppWorld.

  11. I agree David, it would be like Nintendo not having a Mario game.
