BlackBerry Torch 9800 OS Officially Released by 3UK

imageI have been weighing the pros and cons between the leaked .448 and .450 OS’s for the Torch and so far have been sticking with .450. I have been hearing from a few users that .448 might be more stable so its nice to see 3UK confirm that with an official release. This new version is pretty solid so if you were holding out for an official release here it is.

  1. Its good to see carriers pushing out these updates.

  2. Could this mean another leak is around the corner ?

  3. Build .450 did workout for me (9800 Rogers network)… had to rollback to .337. Touch screen would randomly stop responding. And phone phone logs were messed up. Listed wrong numbers in the call logs!!! When back to .337 and everything is fine, even the logs. Been though every upgrade for the 9800 and this was the first time it did would out. Guess I’ll wait for .600 build or something… hopefully there build be there by April.

  4. Build .450 did not workout for me

  5. Is this compatible with AT&T devices as well?

  6. I’m running .450.. So far so good.. Batt feels better. But maybe its a placebo effect

  7. Tango, you can install any device OS from any carrier on the device of that model.

So yes, you can install this on an ATT 9800.
