Ringtone Remix is the only app I know of that lets you create shorter ringtones from MP3 files directly from your BlackBerry. Just to give you some background the Ringtone Remix app lets you view a whole song and then cut out the part your want to use as a ringtone. Since it came out they have been progressively improving it and the latest version brings a slew of nice improvements including:
- Significant improvement in speed – eliminating any lag-time when ringtones are played.
- Even more degrees of zoom on the waveform so users can better fine-tune which sections of songs they wish to use as their ringtones
- A new song picker to make it easier to find and select the tune you want to turn into a ringtone.
The app includes the core feature set of letting you select any song (MP3 or M4A) from your BlackBerry to use as a ringtone for callers, alerts, and more. You then can zoom in on the section of the song you wish to use as a ringtone. You can also hear a preview of what it will sound like and how it will loop from inside the app.
In honor of the update Electric Pocket has setup an introductory price of only US$.99 in the Store which is nice and cheap though sadly there does not seem to be a free trial.

Another app that also creates shorter ringtones from your BlackBerry is MP3 Ringtone Creator. It can take a little while to tap into your music/ringtone library if you’ve got a lot of stuff on it (like me), but I’ve had it for a while now and it works well.

yeah but isnt that from a PC? There are a bunch of websites that do it too but I was looking for a way to do it from my BlackBerry for ages.
