Linux Support Added for BlackBerry PlayBook AIR SDK and Simulator

PlayBook Simulator

I am not sure why RIM downplayed it in their announcement but the new version of their SDK (v0.9.3) now clearly supports Linux development. So far Linux development support is only available for the Tablet OS AIR SDK but hopefully the WebWorks SDK will get Linux support. The Linux SDK supports the following Linux distributions: openSUSE 11.2, Ubuntu 9.1, or Fedora 12.

  3. Good to see RIM opening up the development potential. Would love to hear from some of the devs that frequent this site on what being able develop with Linux really means for them.
