It has been awhile since we have seen a nice OS update for the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100. It is sad to see that the 9100 has not taken off as fast as I though it would but hopefully RIM has a meaningful refresh for it coming in 2011. Still Aircel released OS 6.0.0.380 which should give the device some OS 6.0 goodness. On the other hand there are leaks of newer builds so this should just be for those of you who stick with official builds. The build should work with both the 9100 and 9105 even though the 9105 does not show this OS in the dropdown. Just use the 9100 version since it mentions 9105 support in the file name.

Warning: This OS will not install on any other BlackBerry besides the one mentioned above. Don’t forget to delete the vendor.xml file located in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader to install it on a different carriers device. I am using BB pearl 9100 with OS 5 which came along when i purchase it…
I am using BSNL BIS.
I wanna upgrade to OS 6 which is not avail for BSNL users..!
Can i download the aircel OS 6 from BB site and install it to my mobile ?
will it work without probs?
