AT&T Releases Voicemail Viewer App for Unified Messaging and U-verse Customers

Since AT&T is not really a land line carrier in Manhattan I do not know how popular their AT&T Unified Messaging or U-verse Voice services are. If you happen to be a customer or even a business customer of both of those services you can now access your voicemails from their new Voicemail Viewer app. The app is totally free but has a few gotchas. First of all the app is only available for AT&T BlackBerry users. On top of that it only supports a random selection of devices and does not support their flagship BlackBerry Torch 9800. Odd but really typical AT&T craziness.

If you are still interested AND have a AT&T Unified Messaging account AND have an AT&T BlackBerry AND have one of the supported models you can pick up AT&T Voicemail Viewer in App World.

  1. I find that the Youmail app is most effecient voice mail system: (1.) you can customize it any way you want: greetings, notifications (email, SMS for missed calls), you can even keep these messages and send them by email. (2.) You can make call rules to prevent unwanted calls. (3.) All of this is free.

  2. is this ATTs version of VVM?
