The popular Twitter client for BlackBerry, UberTwitter, was acquired by PostUp this weekend. They announced the acquisition at the same time as the announcement to rename PostUp to UberMedia. This is coming just a few weeks after they purchased EchoFon which develops an iPhone and iPad app for Facebook and Twitter.
UberTwitter CEO, Paul McDonald, will be staying on at UberMedia according to his quote: “Working closely with Twitter for the past couple of years has made me even more passionate about real time communication, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Twitter as part of UberMedia.”
It looks like we will be seeing more exciting apps from UberMedia after this acquisition. You can still pick up the current UberTwitter client for BlackBerry at www.ubertwitter.com.

Haha yeah, what ever happened there? I hope they’re delaying it because they’re porting it to the playbook.

I think they were supposed to incorporate Viigo’s work into Social Feeds, but it never really materialized that way. Not sure why?
