Yurbuds Earphones Guaranteed Not To Fall Out

yurbuds4 yurbuds3

While at CES I stopped by the Yurbuds booth at ShowStoppers and was a bit skeptical about their product. I have tried tons of earphones over the years and only found one manufacturer (Shure) who designs earphones that do not fall out but they cost a pretty penny and are not designed for workouts. That is where Yurbuds come in. They are offering up sub-$50 earphones that are guaranteed not to fall out.

At first I didn’t believe the CEO until I tried them on myself. They really don’t fall out. The earphones are also sweat proof and they guarantee they will fit otherwise they will send you a custom fit the next day. The wire feels a bit flimsy compared to Shure headphones but they promise that they are durable. I will report back once I get to try them for a few days.

All in all I am pretty impressed for now. I used them on the plane and they did a good job of blocking out background noise while not plugging into your ear canal. They also do not have to wrap around your ear and do not fall out while eating which impressed me.

You can find them now on Amazon and other locations for about $49.99 and also at your local Best Buy. Let me know what you think of them if you pick a pair up!

  1. how about the sound? I also have trouble with IEMs that tend to fall out.. not to mention microphonics

One brand that I recommend for decent sounding AND affordable are from Meelectronics.. they always have a promotion going on, and they’re actually quite well designed.

  2. As someone who runs with headphones (or at least trys to) these are very tempting..

    • I tried these out @ the New York Triathlon Expo. They couldn’t keep them in my ears while I was standing there. Worse yet, the buds kept slipping off the headphone buds when the rep was trying to position them in my ears. I watched similar occurrences and opted to not spend more money on failed “never fall out” earbuds.

  3. Looking on their website, it looks like they sell replacement tips.. I wonder if these can be inserted onto other IEMs instead of buying a whole new set of earphones from them?

  4. I have tried a lot of different headphones, even a DIY custom mold type and the best solution I have come up with are the Foam replacements made by Comply. You can google it.

Basically they are soft and adjust. You squeeze them and put them in your ear and they expand and feel comfortable. They also make them for many types of headphones so you can use your favorite pair.

I use these for my motorcycle, running, gym, and snowboarding and keep them in for long periods of time and they feel great and dont fall out.

    I highly recommend them.

  5. Thanks Gavin, do you work for Comply? :)

The Ironman earphones are good stuff, got a pair at Best Buy.

Rate 4.5/5 because I’m not sold on red.

    • I guess I should have said that. :).
No I don’t work for them. I was just happy when I found something that finally worked for me and didn’t have to buy a new pair of heaphones. I don’t know if my ears are shaped differently to a lot of people but I tried a bunch that were rated high and had a lot of good reviews about not falling out and they never seemed to work for me.

  6. Yea i was gonna order a pair of complys for the Meelecs .. but then my dog chewed them up.. oh well.. i think my ears are just not made for IEMs

    • As a side note, i’ve just been relying on my sony bluetooth headphones.. i know they’ll never sound as good as decent wired headphones because of the limitations of bluetooth.. but i like less wires!

  7. I’ve had v-modo, bose and the blackberry premuim headsets and to be honest the blackberry ones worked the best for me. V-modo was good for a while, thank god for the 1yr warrant I switched them out every 8months. The bose I hated, bought them and returned them the same they. I like to mix songs own my mac so I’m thinkging about getting the dre over the ear w/mic headset.
    What do u guys things?

  8. I decided to stop wearing in-ear headphones. They never fit me, because my ears are too small I guess, and they always end up hurting.

I’ve just bought a couple pairs of Skullcandy Icon 2 headphones that are pretty great. Still trying to get them to stay on my head most days, but they fit well, sound great, and have a nice microphone and play/pause button that works well.

  9. I usually don’t have a problem with earbuds falling out, but they do tend to irritate after a while…

  10. Try JH16pro… :D

  11. I tried these out @ the New York Triathlon Expo. They couldn’t keep them in my ears while I was standing there. 12. Don’t buy Comply unless you are super rich. Make them yourself.
