Free Nimbuzz Multi IM Client v1.3.4 Released

Nimbuzz Update Nimbuzz is a free and relatively popular instant messaging client for BlackBerry. Terrence pointed out to me that we have not mentioned it since March of last year and it was recently updated to v1.3.4. Nimbuzz supports practically all popular instant messaging and social networks including Facebook, MSN, Google, Yahoo, AIM, MySpace, Hyves, and more. There is no word on Nimbuzz’s blog about the update but the previous update in December added:

  • Invisible mode – appear invisible to your Nimbuzz contacts.
  • Updated status icons – for Online, Away, Busy and Offline.
  • Sort contacts by status – to see who is available to chat now, and who might answer later.

You can pick up the latest v1.3.4 of Nimbuzz in App World at this link

  1. I’ve been looking for a facebook chat client. does anyone have thoughts on this vs. the multiple standalone facebook chat apps available?

    • I’m actually using trillian, works very well. Apart from nimbuzz, there’s also im+ and chat for facebook

But chat with facebook installs a facebook app onto ur facebook account and I’m certainly not comfortable with that.

    • I’ve always used Beejive and have had no issues. Chat for Facebook is a good one too. I don’t like IM+ and Nimbuzz was a battery killer the last time I installed it.
