Visa really knows how to botch a BlackBerry app launch. They have released a new app that allows you to see offers and deals that you can redeem. You can also use the app to find the nearest ATM and other features. The app has quite a few strikes against it but who knows one of you may find it useful.
It is only available in the US and even in the US it is limited to the BlackBerry 8350i, 8520, 8530, 8900, 9000, 9630, and 9700 which is an odd mix of devices. There are huge device lines missing including the 9800, 9650, 9100, 9300, the list goes on. The app also clocks in at over 1MB with this limited feature set which makes me wonder what exactly they were thinking…
If you feel like you must have this app check it out in App World. Otherwise I think its a textbook example of how a developer can totally screw up an app launch… Oh and to add insult to injury the app only supports OS 5.0+.

Requires 5.0 and supports the 9630 and not the 9650?
Looks like a case of Visa putting together the list of supported phones about 12 months ago, and nobody there paying any attention at all for a full year…

Weird,
I’m guessing it works for most devices, just an error on their part.

Doesn’t look worth more than 1MB of use…

Have you tried Pageonce? Its free and you can put in banks, credit cards, heck, even starbucks cards. I did and deleted my banks app!

Yeah i think i looked at that one. I think its actually the banks themselves that are preventing access to these apps..

seems like it takes up a lot of memory especially if its only supported by older devices. I still like using Personal Assistant to keep track of my bills and such
