Kayak for BlackBerry Gets Slight Update to v2.0.1

Kayak1 I use Kayak all the time on my BlackBerry since it offers a powerful travel search engine in my pocket. I just used it while I was in Israel to find a hotel at the last minute and it even offers useful information like hotel phone numbers. John let us know that Kayak has released a slight update to their application this week which adds a few features but there is one thing I noticed off the bat. It is much faster at starting up.

Here is the v2.0.1 change log for Kayak:

  • Remove KAYAK app icons from picture gallery
  • Ability to share trips
  • Ability to hide past trips
  • Ability to create KAYAK account from the app
  • Remove local trips cache, when changing user accounts
  • Smoother login process

You can pick up this latest version of Kayak for BlackBerry in App World

  1. 2.2MB? It better be a good app. If I traveled a lot maybe I would try it out…

  2. I was thinking the same thing. Very nice app but 2.2mb? Apparently no thought was given to the size of their digital footprint. I would have to be a power traveler to get use out of it, otherwise, I’ll stick to the Kayak website on my pc, or soon, playbook 🙂

  3. So I wonder if Kayak can find me a lunch partner in NYC when next I pass through? 🙂

  4. Gud to knw. Kayak is progressing.

  5. Kayak is awesome. Combine your Kayak searches with codes from discount clubs and you’ve got a great travel deal all by using your phone.

I’m not a power traveler, but I do a lot of searching for family members or friends. It’s nice to have an all-in-one shop.

  6. This’ll be handy when i travel this year!
