BlackBerry Messenger Leaked!

We recently got an official upgrade from RIM to BlackBerry Messenger The team at Driphter has rummaged up a new leaked version with an OTA download link for all. There is no change log but they noticed some speed improvements in loading group chats and in general use. Like the regular BlackBerry Messenger updates this one clocks in at about 3MB so it may take a bit to download.

Download BlackBerry Messenger at this link

Warning: Do not download and install these updates if you don’t know what you’re doing. Incorrect procedure or just bad luck could render your BlackBerry inoperative or unstable. In other words proceed at your own risk!

Thanks Tashanna for sending this one in!

  1. For those afraid of the OTA data being consumed from ur bill, heres a Desktop version. Both jad and alx are inside for offline installation. 🙂

  2. I’ve heard this version is for OS6 only. Anyone on OS5 got it installed?

  3. We need a mirror link for the OTA. Connection always times out likely due to high demand.

  4. Tryed to install and it shows in the applications but theres no icon on the home page where .41 was. Checked all the folders also. Bummed.

  5. its been reported that is only for devices with BlackBerry 6.

  6. This update is included in the latest 9700 OS6 leak that came out today.I am not sure about other phones though.

  7. Any idea if they have a leaked version that does work with OS5? Has anyone verified that this one doesn’t?

  8. I tried ota, dm, and unzipping from device. No go on os5. Upgraded to OS6 last night and ota worked.

  9. Icon disappears after OS 5 installation but I know someone who was successful on their 8900

  10. guess its only a leak if your using bb6 other then that its a straight nothing for anyone running OS 5. so bummed 🙁
