Whether you are a Secret Santa at the office, or the real Santa on a budget, a snazzy BlackBerry case is a great holiday gift; it both protects and outfits your greatest material possession (did that go too far?)

This week I want to highlight Speck, a company that makes trendy Blackberry cases as well as tablet cases and new stylish laptop/tablet bags. Speck gave us some samples to review and sponsored this weeks giveaway!

  1. When I decide to purchase myself a tablet next year, I am definitely considering the smaller Blackberry Playbook because I need it to be very lightweight/not too noticeable and mobile. When it comes to certain devices, smaller is better for me. It’s just more convenient for me when I’m on the go, can easily put it in my purse – Good to go.

It would be nice if I won a case.

  2. looks nice.. would be a great gift for my spouse ..

  3. Sweet cases..

Good luck and Happy Holidays everyone

  4. iPad 2.0 would be my choice of tablet, just because the Plyabook needs a paired phone in range to get emails …

  5. The Playbook will be my toy of choice. It’s looking great and is loaded with connections that I, for one, will be interested in utilising in work, and play! Smaller then the iPad, The Playbook will be more portable and less of a ‘lounge’ device, one for business and practicability.- And I’m not even going to start on the whole syncing with my BB! 🙂

  6. I’m a BlackBerry user and the idea of being able to pair with the PlayBook sounds great – although as far as I know that feature hasn’t been fully fleshed out as of yet.

  7. I’d go with the playbook. Flash support and the smaller form factor are a much better fit than lugging around a 10″ tablet.

  8. I would have to go with the PlayBook. Besides all the technical benefits, I think the QNX OS is going to be the way of the future for RIM and the BlackBerry. I am also hoping that the PlayBook and BlackBerry will complement each other nicely.

  9. iPad 2. More apps from the get-go, and a seasoned OS.

  10. Assuming you are going to buy a tablet in 2011, what has a better bet of getting your hard earned cash; the smaller Blackberry Playbook or the larger iPad 2? And why? “I will definitely buy a BlackBerry Playbook. I don’t buy into the Apple propaganda. The iPad is nothing but an oversize iPod Touch. The iPad will never support flash. What app will people use more the internet browser or numerous useless childish fart apps? The BlackBerry Playbook wins hands down. I’m really excited see the the new OS that runs on the Playbook.

  11. I would purchase the Playbook if for no other reason that I dislike Apple’s proprietary nature and their attempts to halt others actions via legal maneuvers while they feel completely justified doing the same things.

  12. i’d pick the playbook. i’ve owned many blackberry products over the years, i’ve owned only one apple product.

  13. I really want that Playbook, but it all depends on how long the battery can last. Otherwise I am being pulled by the Ipad. I have never had an Apple product and really don’t want to jump on that bandwagon, but I might.

  14. This would be a great Christmas gift. I really want the Playbook as a late Christmas gift to myself, and I hope I bypassed the iPad for something wonderful…..

  15. I want buy ipad2 because playbook just wifi only

  16. I’m thinking PlayBook. My reasons are primarily two: a) I love the potential of integration with my BlackBerry lifestyle that PlayBook brings and b) I hate all Apple products since my first exposure to them as a PC repair tech trying to fix broken IIc’s (man did they have crappy power supplies).

  17. I like both, but my money is on the Playbook. The ultra-portable size reminds me of the Sony P that I was forced to sell, but loved dearly for its compactness and sleek form. It’s not that I hate Apple and the iPad; I just love what I see with the Playbook thus far and its potential in the future. One doesn’t need to bash the competition to see or prove the Playbook’s awesomeness.

Also, my Bold wants a new brother.

  18. I would also purchase the Playbook for the simple reason that Steve Jobs felt so threatened by it when it was announced he had to immediately criticize it. If Steve feels threatened by it, it must be very special.

  19. I believe that i might get ipad if they add flash + good camera + a nice factor + usb ports + more battery juice!

  20. I would most likely get the Playbook. I like the UI over the iPod. Thanks for the contest.

  21. Since I already own an iPad, I’ll get Playbook in 2011. I’ve been a BlackBerry guy for well over 7 years now and I’m excited to see what RIM does with their tablet given the QNX OS. I hope it’ll breathe new life into a product line that- outside various incremental smartphone form factor changes- has become highly predictable and follow-the-leader-ish. BlackBerry may generally be slow to adapt to trends, but they’ve always been strong on the accessibility front when they do.

  22. I simply cannot stand Apple for various reasons, so the answer is straightforward. BlackBerry anytime!

  23. That is a tough one…but I would have to say that it’s going to be the Blackberry Playbook. After researching functionality and features it’s hands-down for me. I like the fact that it’s smaller (7″ LCD display, 1024 x 600 screen resolution) and since I’m addicted to BB products I’m staying true to RIM. If the battery becomes an issue it’s no worries as I will always have a spare. I’m on the list…just waiting for that glorious day when it’s all mine!
