The BlackBerry PlayBook has been featured in quite a few videos including a music video. Many were quick to dismiss the device because of the lack of hands on videos by users other than RIM employees. RIM has been busy working on this device and the fact that they put together the core OS in a few months proves it. We learned new details each time RIM shows off the device and one of the cool new feature mentioned recently is that the bezel is touch sensitive. That means it responds to gestures from the user in all four sides and the keyboard works both in landscape and portrait mode.
BGR one of the early critics of this device scored a demo today at the Adobe developer Meet the PlayBook event in NY. I say DEMO because they did not get to touch the device and play with it. Speculations have it that the device is still not ready for people to use or it may be that RIM does not want to let all the secrets out of the bag yet. Either way the PlayBook is looking better and better the more we learn about it.
