Plantronics InstantMeeting Identifies Upcoming Conference Calls

Plantronics let us know about their foray into the BlackBerry application space with their new InstantMeeting app. The app automatically recognizes upcoming conference calls in your calendar and populates the dial in information for you so you can just click one button to connect to the conference call. It will do everything for you including dialing into a bridge line, then entering a conference passcode, then a PIN number.

The app comes with a free trial which allows users to make 20 free calls at this link after which they offer a full version in App World for $2.99 that allows unlimited calls.

If you check it out let us know what you think of InstantMeeting. I don’t think there are other apps like this out there so the idea is definitely creative.

  1. The BlackBerry calendar can already be setup for conference call numbers, as either host or participant. Unless this thing can parse an Outlook meeting invite and populate those fields auto-magically which the native calendar can’t, I’m not so keen on spending $3?
