Black Eyed Peas Feature BlackBerry PlayBook in Music Video

It is no secret that RIM and the Black Eyed Peas have a bit of a love affair. Will.I.Am’s DipDive website has posted their new “The Time (Dirty bit)” music video which has quite a few shots of the yet to be released BlackBerry PlayBook. I guess you just have to be a big name musician to get a PlayBook… :)

The shots in the video seem to be rendered on the screen and not the actual UI. In case you don’t want to have to watch the whole video to get to the PlayBook shots just skip to about 2:10 into the video and then again at 3:15 and 3:50 or so and make sure to click the Hi res button to not have to view the low quality junk it shows by default.

All in all I have to say this is some awesome product placement for RIM. A few other brands get shown in the video but none are featured as prominently as the PlayBook.

  2. Nice. Maybe due to the influence of apl.de.ap (guy with the mohawk), who is a BB supporter. He was at the Torch’s launch party in LA.

  3. Am I the only one intrigued by the fact that the Black Eyed Pea’s Superbowl performance is so close to the launch of the BlackBerry PlayBook?
