Free BBSAK v1.9 Released to Iron Out Bugs

BBSAK 182BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife (BBSAK) is one of those desktop utilities that every BlackBerry junkie should have. The app lets you perform many useful actions on your BlackBerry that would otherwise be painfully complicated. Terrence let me know that they just released version 1.9 of the utility which is intended to fix many of the annoying bugs and interface quirks that were introduced in previous versions.

Keep in mind that since version 1.8 they have added a nag screen to the app for users who have not donated $5 or more. Its not that bad if you use the app infrequently but if you use it often I recommend donating to support the development.

BBSAK also recently put up their own website instead of just an ever updating forum thread. You can check it out and download the new version at www.bbsak.org.

  1. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade.
Didn’t they move off that forum a couple releases back?

  2. Yeah I heard about it but I finally found it :)

  3. sent my donation using 1.8. it worth it, especially with all the new functions that have come up since 1.4.

  4. A must have “app” for any BB user. So complex and yet its simplicity eases the end user. GREAT PROGRAM!

  5. Yep. Easier to save/restore third-party apps and themes with BBSAK than BB DM. None of the “switch devices then find that hidden folder” stuff needed.

  6. this app is invaluable.. anytime i upgrade, i do a wipe with this… also great at deleting unnecessary cods to make space
