Google Sponsors Free GoGo In Flight Wi-Fi for the Holidays

gogo-wifi-blackberry4Google really gets in the Wi-Fi giving mood during the holiday season. Last year they were offering free Wi-Fi in a couple airport terminals. This year they are taking flight and have teamed up with AirTran Airways, Delta, and Virgin America to offer free Gogo Inflight Wi-Fi on every domestic flight from November 20, 2010 through January 2, 2011.

All three of these airlines have outfitted their entire domestic fleet with Gogo Inflight Wi-Fi so its no longer limited to just a few planes. According to Google that translates into 700+ planes and over 15+ million passengers who will get free Wi-Fi. You can use the in flight Wi-Fi starting Nov 20th to connect your BlackBerry and laptop while in the air. The promotion is sponsored by Google Chrome which only makes me like Chrome more. 🙂
