BlackBerry Traffic Beta Released – Newer Version in Beta Zone

94812.pngDanny let me know that over the weekend RIM transitioned the Beta Zone v1.3.0.521 to the App World Test Center. Now everybody can pick up this latest version. According to the change log this version “fixes a critical issue that was preventing alternate routes from functioning correctly for a small subset of testers.” According to RIM this new version is supposedly only available for the Bold 9700, Tour 9630, Storm2 9550, and Curve 8530. Not sure why…

At the same time RIM has released BlackBerry Traffic v1.3.1.189 to the open program in BlackBerry Beta Zone. This new beta zone version brings the following changes:

  • Support for all GPS-enabled devices running 4.6 software or above
  • Fix for beta testers who experienced “Error Type 1” connection issues

You can join the BlackBerry Traffic Beta Zone program at this link or download the older Test Center version at this link in App World.

  1. That I’d indeed strange since 3 of the 4 are CDMA. Can’t imagine the 9700 having much at all in common with those others on the hardware side.
