T-Mobile BlackBerry Bold 9780 Right after RIM dropped the news that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 is now official we heard from T-Mobile announcing its upcoming availability. According to T-Mobile the new BlackBerry Bold 9780 will be available on November 17th for $129.99 after a $50 mail in rebate and a two year contract.

T-Mobile is hyping up the fact that this is the first BlackBerry 6 device being released by T-Mobile with a “fluid and user-friendly interface, bringing your favorite features front-and-center, including universal search and a new and improved Web browsing experience with faster page-loading and tabbed browsing.” They also mention that UMA Wi-Fi calling will work on the BlackBerry Bold 9780.

  1. so you still have to shell out $180 buck for it and get $50 back not worth the upgrade i will hold off and see what coming from RIM to tmo in the next few months

  2. Yes meet too. I find no difference from my current Bold 9700 I have…its almost the same with just extra 256 MB RAM and camera pixel… thats about it… Get Torch to T-Mobile… and I will jump in right that minute…

And above all we all know that OS 6.0 is coming to Bold 9700 soon.

  3. I agree with both of you. I have a Tour and wouldn’t upgrade to Bold 9650. Not enough “enhancements”. So why should 9700 owners jump to the 9780. RIM needs to get away from this Curve look of a similar device every other quarter with little changes.

    • The 9700 is immensely popular. OS6 is wanted. So OS6 + 9780 with slightly better camera + ram specs is wanted.

Doesn’t matter if X number of users don’t think it’s worth the upgrade. This thing is going to sell…

Same goes for any curve iterations which sell even more than the high end devices…

  4. faster processor then 9650 on vz and far more “fluid” experience. specs dont do it justice.
