There are tons of BlackBerry Bold 9650 users just waiting for Verizon (or any other carrier for that matter) to officially release a solid build of BlackBerry 6 for their device. The current builds are improving but the battery life is still pretty abysmal from what I hear.
Jason let us know about a little update he noticed that makes me think Verizon is hard at work gearing up for a BlackBerry 6 launch. He was trying to setup his BIS email on his BlackBerry Bold 9650 running leaked OS 6.0.0.280 and was prompted to update to a new Email Setup Application as you can see in these screenshots. I am taking this as a sign that Verizon is working to add BlackBerry 6 support for the 9650 since there is no other current BlackBerry device other than the 9330 which will be getting BlackBerry 6 on Verizon.
What do you think? Have you also received this prompt?

So by this we’re to reason that BlackBerry 6 can update just portions of the OS without having to do a full install? Did I miss that article? That’s a good thing I would say.
Or is it just that more of what was “core OS” in

Its just a slight update of the email setup application that ships with the core os in the current beta builds of 6.0
