Namco Final Fantasy for BlackBerry Brings Back Memories…

I am simply speechless…

Final Fantasy Final Fantasy3 Final Fantasy4

Okay now that I have regained control of the English language I have to tell all Final Fantasy fans to head over the App World and pick up Final Fantasy for BlackBerry. It is just like the original and will make you weepy and nostalgic. The game play is just like you remember it though the controls are a bit off. The best part? It works like a charm on the BlackBerry Torch 9800.

So what are you waiting for? Namco’s Final Fantasy is in BlackBerry App World for $4.99 at this link.

From the description:

Enter the realm of Final Fantasy as the landmark role-playing franchise finally comes to mobile! Visit faraway lands and unravel the mysteries on an epic journey. Select your party of adventurers from six distinct character classes, each with their own unique skills and abilities. Battle against hundreds of monsters and enemies as you travel by land, sea, and airship! Gain experience, learn new spells, and purchase weapons on a quest to restore the four elemental crystals and save the world!

  1. Hey! Where’s pokemon? 🙁

  2. Wow! That looks pretty dang authentic!

  3. Cant download this :/

    network: Orange UK

its blanked out in appworld for me 🙁

  4. I’m a pretty big FF nerd, so naturally I had to have this, but it kills the battery on my Tour. Has anyone else noticed this?

    • I have noticed this too, and I have a Bold. It’s almost at though there is no way to Exit/Close the game when you are not playing it. Does anyone know if there is a way to ‘save’ where you are and close/exit the game when one is not playing it???

      • If you hit the Back button, you get the in-game menu, and the bottom option is Quit. This takes you to the game’s main screen, where the bottom option is Exit. If you have Autosave turned on (from the game options), then it saves to the ‘Continue’ slot each time you change scenes (enter/exit a town/dungeon, etc). I just finished the game after ~33 hours (started the final dungeon at level 29, finished it at level 33), well worth $5 🙂

  5. Hello,

I have the Blackberry Torch, can someone please tell me if this game is touch screen compatible? It doesn’t say anything on this topic in the description, and I’ve not read anything on the web that answers this burning question.
