With all the issues RIM has been having with the Indian government I have not heard much about device releases. The unofficial BlackBerry India blog is claiming that the latest BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be launching in India tomorrow or the day after. They have no official price but estimate it will be Rs. 34,990 or about $783 which is a bit ridiculous.
Hopefully it does launch as a signal that RIM is serious about continuing service in India. If it were me I would have thrown my hands in the air by now.
