SalesForce has seen a nice adoption for their social networking Chatter business tool. They have managed to convince over 20,000 companies that chatter will help increase productivity through collaboration. In a logical next step SalesForce plans on extending their Chatter service to BlackBerrys along with many other popular mobile devices this fall.
Chatter makes a lot of sense on BlackBerrys since the real time information is much more useful. This upcoming app will let you stay on top of what is happening in the office along with letting you:
- Update your status, post comments, view files, and upload photos
- Poll the group for fast answers to customer questions
- Collaborate with your team from the road using Chatter groups
I think a Chatter app fits in perfectly with the success SalesForce is seeing in their CRM mobile app. Hopefully other vendors will start catching up.
