AT&T Touting Billions Spent on Network in 2010

attlogo AT&T really let out a whole slew of press releases late last week announcing their network investments in different states and cities. It seems like a multi-billion dollar investment they have made though I have yet to see it pay off in New York City though they invested $225 million here.

You can get an idea of where all the money went in the press releases below. Let us know if you are in one of the areas covered and noticed a significant upgrade in coverage.

  1. I have to admit, here in Texas I noticed a big change in speeds 3 months ago, from 100KBps to 379KBps.
    850 million? :-O

  2. no love for the AZ, i see how it is AT&T

  3. nvm, i missed PHX, but in not in PHX so i may see no difference

  4. per the brief they focused a lot on my area and added 98 additional towers and expanded radio carriers so lets see, i already sit at 4-5 bars constantly with the occasional drop to 1-2 then within seconds back to 4-5. will speed test when i get home and see if my tethering shows a better connect speed then 1Mbs.

  5. His many billions does those all add up to? I’m not believing these numbers. They aren’t selling THAT many iPhones to cover all that “investment”…???
