In another case of text messages gone awry we have a humorous story of a Helena, Montana teen accidentally texting the sheriff for Marijuana instead of his dealer. He sent the message to the wrong number and it ended up on the phone of Sheriff Leo Dutton:
Hey Dawg, do you have a $20 I can buy right now?
The sheriff thought it was odd and replied to the teen asking “How much we talking?” He then proceeded to setup a sting to catch the two buyers. When he identified himself as the sheriff they started falling apart. In an interesting form of justice the sheriff got the parents involved and let them mete out their own flavor of punishment. Cruel!
