Verizon announced that they will be holding their second annual Verizon Developer Community Conference this year on September 21st & 22nd. Its a bit last minute but the event will be in the ARIA Resort and Casino in Las Vegas.
Verizon will be pushing their Verizon V CAST Apps store that they launched earlier this year for BlackBerrys and already includes over 1,000 apps from EA to Slacker. I thought Verizon would be giving up on their own app store but it looks like they have other plans. Verizon now has over 5,000 new developers moving to sell their apps through the V CAST store which is impressive.
