Verizon BlackBerry Storm 2 and Curve 8530 End Of Life Soon

Verizon-endoflife The team at PhoneDog got some confirmation that Verizon has put the BlackBerry Storm 2 9550 and BlackBerry Curve 8530 on death row and marked for End Of Life. The dates are:

  • BlackBerry Storm2 9550 – October 10th 2010
  • BlackBerry Curve 8530 – September 16th 2010

It is also interesting to note that the BlackBerry Bold 9650 is also on that list with and EOL date of March 31st 2011. Should be interesting to see what Verizon and RIM have in store for us soon. We already know the BlackBerry Curve 9330 and BlackBerry Storm3 will be coming to replace the main devices but maybe the BlackBerry 9670 will replace the 9650?

    Should be 31st March 2011. 😉

  2. So if the Storm2 dies on 10/10 can the Storm2 Refresh or Storm 3 be far behind?!

  3. Thanks for the catch PDM. Just fixed it. Yeah looks like the storm3 is right on schedule…

  4. isn’t 9670 the new widebody clamshell? That should soon replace the just EOL’d 8230 Flip, not the Bold. As much as we’ve seen of the new clamshell I can’t envision it not hitting for another 7 months.
