It has been awhile since Amazon updated their slick shopping app. Nikolaus let us know that Amazon first updated the app to v1.0.26 and now v1.0.27 recently though I cannot pinpoint exactly when that update happened.
Either way the app now installs on my BlackBerry Torch which is probably why they released the update. I am waiting for other stores to pull off slick apps like Amazon. Sometimes I think they outdid even RIM and App World in simplifying the mobile purchase especially with the 1 click checkout…

The “shopping experience” Amazon has in this app, especially with its integration with your web shopping on Amazon, beats App World hands down. Not even close. Continues to baffle me that RIM continues to ignore that people might just want to shop not solely on their phone. App World would be far more useful (in my opinion) if I could shop from my PC and push to my phone.
