I got a chance to play with RIM’s WebKit browser on a Torch yesterday but RIM created a nice write up on both their developer and consumer blogs. They even covered one of the features that I could not manage to photograph which is the double tap to zoom in on text. This is one of the coolest features in the browser since it reformats the text to the screen width so you don’t need to scroll right and left to read a full line when zoomed in.
They also posted their scores when it comes to compliance and performance:
- Our Acid 3 test score: Perfect (100 of 100)
- Our CSS3 Selectors test score: Perfect (574 of 574)
- Our HTML5 test score: 208 of 300 – note that total compliance is not yet possible
They highlight some of the best features like tabbed browsing and the RSS subscriptions so I highly recommend checking out the write ups at the links below:

This was one of the absolute worst flaws on the Pre browser… You had to pan constantly to basically read anything. Even mobile sites were terrible to use on the Pre.
