Updated: BlackBerry Torch Also Coming to Telus Rogers & Bell Canada

BlackBerry TorchUPDATE: It looks like Virgin Mobile will also be getting the 9800 according to MobileBurn.

Our friends up north will be glad to know that while AT&T dominated the news with their BlackBerry Torch 9800 announcement other carriers are also getting the device. Currently the following carriers in Canada are confirmed to get the 9800:

  • Telus – “later this year”
  • Rogers “later this year”
  • Bell – said it will offer the phone in the fall

This is all coming from the Globe & Mail which heard directly from the main carriers. No word on exact launch dates but I am sure they wont be far behind AT&T.

  2. Canada in the North, soooooo sick of hearing this. I live in Canada and guess what….its the same weather in New York city all year around. And guess what there is 6 states that are NORTH of us in Canada. Are people really this stupid! anyways about the phone, l think l will be buying this one, we shall see on the price. I do like the iphone and all the fun things you can do on it. The only important thing l’m concerned about is Dropped calls and poor reception….that has to come first when buying a new cell phone over 500 bones….eh!
