There is plenty of third party part demographics information available about BlackBerry users but its nice to hear it straight from the source. In a recent leak of a Developer Brief slide deck by BBCool we received a taste of what RIM’s research shows on BlackBerry users. It looks like this is recent information since the slide deck is dated June 4th, 2010 but we cannot confirm that the data is that recent. Still I found the details interesting.
Here are some highlights:
- Not as unbalanced of a male to female ration as I would have expected yet higher than other smartphone and feature phone users
- Higher average income and wireless spending
- Slightly larger population of college educated users
- Highest usage of email
