I guess RIM realized that they might as well get on top of the BlackBerry 6 leaks. We saw a bit about BlackBerry 6 and its new multimedia features in some leaked videos but now RIM has gone on the record showing off some of those features on their official blog.
To sum it all up we will have:
- Music Album Art and Discovery
- Different ways to organize your photos along with pinch to zoom feature. You will also be able to select groups of pictures to share, copy, paste, and delete
- Streaming, sharing, & searching for videos will be easier. You will be able to upload videos to YouTube and search YouTube using the built in universal search.
- New Camera Controls for things like Face Detection and other modes just like a real came
- New totally mobile Podcast app will allow for wireless downloads of both audio and video podcasts and will be preloaded in BlackBerry 6
- Help for finding new music, video, & picture apps
