BlackBerry Bold 9700 OS Officially Released by T-Mobile USA

T-Mobile 9700 update T-Mobile has just caught up with the head of the pack by releasing OS for the BlackBerry Bold 9700. Terry let me know about the update spotted by Adam over @CrackBerry and I am going to install it on my device tonight.

You can grab it on T-Mobiles download site at or wait for T-Mobile to get it running through desktop manager and wireless updates.

If you are not a T-Mobile customer Adam was kind enough to pull the download and make it available on Megaupload at this link. Just don’t forget to delete the Vendor.xml file!

  1. Why not install 9700/ Its Official, I’m running it with no problems.

    • Hi I installed 9700/ and it works great! My only question is whats up with the lock and standby? lock seems to put the device in lock+standby mode, BUT standby button on the right top of the device doesn’t work at all!!! Is it just me?? Please advise.

  2. Nice to see they upgraded the OS on the 9700 but folks with 8900’s are still stuck in 4.5 land as the official release. What gives??!
