In case you missed it RIM is holding another one of their popular webcasts today at 11AM EDT to 12:30PM. The title is “Attune with the BlackBerry experience: Integrating your Super App with native applications” which is kind of a weak topic since a Super App by definition needs to integrate with native applications. Still it will be interesting to hear what Rajeev Massand, Sr Application Development Consultant @RIM, has to say.
The description of the webcast reads:
A seamless user experience on the BlackBerry® smartphone means your application should interact and work with the native device applications that are part of the BlackBerry solution. There are many BlackBerry Java® APIs that can invoke other applications, add menu items and active links to native applications, define and use custom content handlers, and share data sources. This session is all about those APIs – what they are, and best practices for using them. Specific emphasis is placed on new extensions provided in the BlackBerry® Device Software v5.0 , such as the ability to add text and images to active phone screens, link social networking data with BlackBerry contacts, and use pickers for choosing locations, files, and contacts.
