Official OS For The BB Bold 9700

image It has been a while since we seen an OS for the Bold 9700,  but wait no more Bla1ze over at CB posted OS Right after that we learned that Optus has officially made the OS available. This is quite a nice jump from  As usual with leaked OS there is not a change log so if you decide to make the jump, let us know if you find anything new or bugs with this build.

Warning: If you decide to do the upgrade is recommended you backup  all your settings and 3rd party apps before you do the upgrade. If you want to take extra precaution you can take out your sim card since it has been know to fry sim cards in the pas when something goes wrong with an update. This OS will not install on any other BlackBerry besides the one mentioned above. If you do not know how to upgrade your BlackBerry OS please start by reading this step by step guide.Don’t forget to delete the vendor.xml file located in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader to install it on a different carriers device. Don’t forget our usual warnings: do not download and install these updates if you don’t know what you’re doing. Incorrect procedure or just bad luck could render your BlackBerry inoperative or unstable

  2. Tried installing but under the update summary its saying no updates required, not sure why as have installed v.656. Helopppp!!!

  5. this os increased my boot time tremendously, it freezes at 99% for like 5 minutes and then does the same at my carrier logo, it isnt even as responsive as the rest on my phone, it honestly felt much much better when i first installed it until my first restart,,,,

  6. O2 in the UK appear to have released a rollback since this OS – and appear to have missed the… 680 entirely that all forum users seem to have loved 🙁

    i’m finally up from .593 now.. no difference noted.. is there a changelog anyhere?
