A few days back we mentioned that T-Mobile was looking at getting an upgrade version of the Curve 8500 series with 3G. CB got a hold of some nice images showing off the new Curve 3G 9300. The device looks much like the 8500 series that was first launched by T-Mobile and the first devices to feature a trackpad in place of the trackball. It would only make sense if T-Mobile was the first one to carry this device which would mean part of the rumors we heard at WES are true. The device looks nice but this is a low end device so don’t expect all the features that come with some of the newest devices.
Some things that we notice so far:
* Only 256MB of flash memory
* Device is running on OS 5.0
* 3G Bands 1 2 5 6
* 320X240 display
* No flash
* Wi-FI
With those specs it may seem the device might not be able to support OS 6.0 but is too early to tell. But for a low end device it may still be worth it. Hopefully RIM decides to make some memory and hardware adjustments before launch.
