Secret agent 7545 dropped us a nice OS leak for the Bold 9000, this is quite a jump from the last one. As usual there is no change log with this one and I have not tried it my self, let us know in the comments if you find anything new with OS or any bugs.

Via Rapidshare
Warning: This OS will not an official release and will only install on a BlackBerry Bold 9000.
If you do not know how to upgrade your BlackBerry OS please start by reading this step by step guide.
Don’t forget to delete the vendor.xml file located in c:program files>common files>research in motion>apploader to install it on a different carriers device. Do not download and install these updates if you don’t know what you’re doing. Incorrect procedure or just bad luck could render your BlackBerry inoperative or unstable.

Quit a jump, and yet ATT STILL hasn’t released on OS 5.0 for the Bold. Sad.

yeah I wouldn’t count on them doing so, rumors have it they are releasing a 4.6 update, pretty lame.

AT&T will “officially” release 5.0 when RIM has released 6.xxx! AT&T is so backasswards – IMO!

It would be nice if RIM would change the lock function back to the way it was or to something else. The mute key is not working for me. Us Bold users know what a pain it can be. It worked fine for a while there and then it kept getting worse and worse until now I just don’t lock my phone now.

Totally agreee with Claye, if anyone knows how to change the key for unlock, please help. Mute key is absolutely inconvenient.
Should enhance this function in the next version.

Hold down the A Key to lock and then push the MUTE Key to unlock.

I know how to lock it. Its the unlocking that is messed up. Over time the Bold mute key will not work as it once did. I have to press it 10 or more times to get it unlocked or press really hard with my nail or some other sharp object. Its not me, its the mute button.
