Rumor: BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider Coming to AT&T in June?

BlackBerry 9800 SliderThe latest rumor out on the blurry-cam happy BlackBerry Bold 9800 slider comes to us from the BoyGenius. His sources tell him that the BlackBerry Bold 9800 will be released by AT&T in June. Its questionable if AT&T would do that since June is regularly new iPhone month but AT&T is also notorious for delaying device launches so June might easily become December.

The same sources mention that AT&T has ordered over a million of these devices which is a pretty strong commitment from them. The 9800 will obviously launch with OS 6 and its WebKit browser so hopefully this is coming ASAP.

What do you think? Is this the BlackBerry Slider you always dreamed of?

  1. This is a dream device, but not on AT&A. Waiting til this comes to T-Mobile with UMA.

  2. Dream device for sure. Can’t wait to upgrade from the Bold 9000

  3. Very possibly. I really want to see how they may change the touch screen from what is on the Storm now. Without the need for an on-screen keyboard, how responsive is the screen? What Storm apps will run with this 9800? What about apps moving from 5.0 to 6.0? What I don’t see is me dumping the 9700 in June for the 9800. I will probably give it a couple of months to see how well it actually WORKS.. then make the move.

    • Same here, Bold 9700 has been good to me. Bold 9800 will be a first of it’s class and God knows how long it would take to get a good OS on it that pleases us crackberrys..oops, I mean Berryreviewers….lol :-)

  4. I don’t think the actual device will look like that.. Seems like a photoshop and the device with the keyboard out would be huge!!! Maybe it’ll be like 9000->9700 and then release a smaller version of it with similar functionality.

Damn marketers slowly and strategically releasing new technology to fully gouge us crackberry addicts and maximize profits.. They know ill buy every single one damnit!!!
