Free Craigslist App SearchCraig Updated

SearchCraig In case you don’t want to throw down $4.99 for the official Craigslist app (which is awesome BTW) you can get SearchCraig free from Volcari Software. It is not as full featured as the official app but it gets the basics done with elegant simplicity. They recently updated their Craigslist search app to v2.13 with some small improvements.

The app simply lets you search Craigslist easily from your BlackBerry. So far it only supports US Craigslist sites but it lets you search all main categories except for forums and personals. You can also easily reply to posting through email from your BlackBerry.

You can find SearchCraig free in the store at this link. Kudos to Tashanna for pointing this one out!

  1. Whenever there’s a somewhat interesting app reviewed, I always find myself starting the download just to see how much memory the app requires. Considering that just this morning there was a rant about BlackBerry memory management published on this blog, doesn’t it make sense that an app review should mention the size? Yet I’ve never seen that info given in a BB app review. Just a suggestion… Thanks.

By the way, this one comes in under 87 kb.

    • Good point! I have been meaning to add that but since I got a 9700 the size of the app did not make a huge difference since it is usually memory leaks that are the problem. For example, the Paypal app is huge because it has a video embedded but the app is coded decently so it does not cause memory leaks…
