RIM Confirms BlackBerry Twitter Client Bug (Update)-Not A RIM Outage

Twitter OutageWe told you earlier today that RIM’s Twitter client was having issues and now RIM has confirmed the issue on their Twitter account.

UPDATE: The Twitter client problems were not cause by a RIM related issue but a bug on Twitter’s side. The issue have been fixed from what we can tell. You should not be able to logging using the official Twitter client.

Its nice to see them confirming the issue which is a HUGE step forward for them since they are usually as quiet and opaque as possible when it comes to outages. I think they may not realize that it makes it worse if everybody is uninformed.
They are saying that a bug is responsible for the outage and they are working on fixing it ASAP. God speed to you!

  3. I haven’t been able to log in on the BB Twitter App since it was released. All i get is user name and password are incorrect. I have uninstalled and re loaded several times and get the same message. Ill stick to Uber on my Storm2!!
