It looks like mobile apps are taking off for OpenTable. Their restaurant reservation service has really benefited from their mobile apps and website. It was just 8 months ago when they announced they had seated their first million users through their mobile offerings. Since then they have seen a 200% increase to 3 million seated users since they started their mobile push. They are estimating that they have sent over $150 million in sales to restaurant partners based on $50 average check per diner.
In case you don’t know OpenTable lets diners quickly view a list of available tables at nearby restaurants and make reservations from their BlackBerry without making a call. It really simplifies the whole reservation process and OpenTable has over 13,000 restaurants available for reservations.
