BlackBerry Podcast App Available To Some Beta Zone Testers

Capture_on_04-28-2010_22-15-53 Just yesterday BBleaks posted a few screenshots of this app, but some beta zone users have received e-mails to download and test the new app. Reports say there is not much content available to download. I don’t listen to podcast personally but I know some do listen to them. It is nice to see RIM is actively pushing applications out to the beta Zone. So far there is not a lot of apps on there but you can sign up at this link. The layout of the application looks nice, but people have reported that so far you can’t add your own channels.

  1. I am lucky enough to have been selected as a beta tester and it is a very nice and smooth app, it allows you to down load large files in excess of 50 mb, that is either by wifi or 3G. Only concern is that when on 3G make sure you have a large enough data plan, I used up over 220mb on my first day.

    2 thumbs up

  2. Pod Trapper is a fantastic podcast app, I wonder how they feel about having their business sabotaged by RIM like that. Oh, I have a hint. Maybe they feel just like the people who made Twitter apps for the BlackBerry. Those stupid people. Don’t they know that making apps for the BlackBerry is a very dumb move, cause RIM will make a free app with similar functionality and just screw you into oblivion?
