This is the week of WES and RIM is there releasing some new stuff. Another interesting announcement is the official release of the 91xx Pearl 3G series. So far, two new devices are included in that series, allegedly “the smallest BlackBerry® smartphone yet”: the 9100 and the 9105. Here come the specs:

- 624 Mhz processor
- 256 MB internal Flash memory
- 360×400 display (238 ppi)

- 3.2 MP camera with zoom, autofocus, flash and video recording

- Wi-Fi® (802.11 b/g/n) — note the ‘n’ protocol is included
- slot for microSDHC cards up to 32 GB
- Bluetooth® 2.1
- BlackBerry OS 5
- Removable, rechargeable 1150 mAhr battery that provides approximately 5.5 hours of talk time on 3G networks
- Dimensions: 4.25″ x 1.96″ x 0.52″ (108 mm x 50 mm x 13.3 mm), 3.3 oz (93 grams)
The new Pearl 3G line should be available from various carriers in May. It will be available in two models and several colors. The 9100 model features a 20-key condensed QWERTY keyboard. The 9105 model features a 14-key traditional phone keyboard. Both models include SureType®. You may be able to get a little extra information at the Pearl 3G line page.
