There have been similar apps released in the past but BigTinCan’s FaceOff seems to have all the features others may have skipped. FaceOff lets you simply and easily control your BlackBerry’s ringer/profile just by flipping your BlackBerry Storm or Storm2 face down. It uses the accelerometer to know when the phone is face down and changes the ringing profile based on that change.
The idea is that you would walk into a meeting and just turn your phone face down and it will automatically go to silent or vibrate. You can also set a whitelist of numbers that you want to ring even if the phone is face down along with the volume and vibration.
