While I still think that RIM’s BlackBerry Beta Zone has a vital flaw it is a huge step in the right direction for RIM. It provides users yet another way to communicate directly with RIM and provide feedback to steer RIM in the right direction with upcoming releases.
In case you were wondering about the BlackBerry Beta Zone and didn’t want to wade through 15 pages of RIM legal poetry my buddy Doug detailed a few of the feedback options and community features available there.
You can read the full rundown on RIM’s official blog or my rough summary below:
- Nominating an Organization for Enterprise Beta Programs – This is a cool new option where you can nominate your organization to participate in beta programs for enterprise focused products like BES 5.0.2…
- Surveys – This is where RIM can ask users what they think about certain features to get targeted answers
- Feedback – The discussion boards in the beta zone give you a way to communicate about the beta applications since the 15 pages of legalize
attempt toprevent you from talking about it elsewhere
- General feedback form
