The BlackBerry Pearl 9100 series has been turning into more of a chameleon every day. We heard previously that there would be variants of the 9100 with a full QWERTY keyboard, a SureType keyboard, and a simple 12 key T9 keyboard (mockup) but we never got to see a live picture of the 12 key T9 keyboard.
Well the wait is over. One of our anonymous tipsters sent in this image along with some of their other gadgets for us to drool over. (I want more toys…
) Its not as sharp as I would like but it brings the device one step closer to me believing RIM will actually release a T9 BlackBerry.
So what do you think? Do you know anybody who would buy a T9 BlackBerry?
The gadget pictures include a regular BlackBerry Pearl 9100 with SureType.

but my mom might just need the t9.
lets wait and see..

Like I said earlier..
This pearl is beautifully designed
And If I have the chance to change my 8900, this pearl (with suretype keybooard) will be my first candidate

I personally think that a Blackberry with T9 is a total joke, it is like going back in time. Not evolving but dissolving into time

I agree, it is like going back in time…but don’t some people like that since they’ve been texting with such key pads for over a decade?
Besides, the fastest way to type blindly is to have the least amount of keys with a multi tap feature. No?

The T9 Pearl is perfect for people like my parents, who have no real need for a smartphone, and text rarely. What a GREAT entry level phone! And there’ll be no learning curve at all when moving over from a ‘regular’ cell phone. Just a way to get the masses hooked on Blackberry. Hope it’ll be 49.99 or FREE with all the carriers. RIM knows exactly what they’re doing here… simplify it for those who get intimidated by the whole ‘smartphone’ thing.
