Nothing to see here folks… Just kidding. Right on schedule RIM released their Twitter client for BlackBerry. It is the same version 1.0.0.37 that was leaked earlier this month. Maybe RIM should just let the community handle their Beta Zone…
You can pick it up at the links below:

I must admit I was a tiny bit disappointed that it was the same as leaked version. That line up from the email that went out seemed quite fresh with NEW features. You’d think RIM would’ve acknowledged that they needed to out do the leak even by a 0.01 advantage. But I digress… guess were all “legal” now right.

I’m feeling it out, still prefer ss though. I do however like the opt to edit your profile w/i the app.

I don’t like how hitting the back button seems to close the app
I am used to using UberTwitter which remains running in the background when you do that – of course I can multi-task my way out but it is one extra thing to think about!
But on the whole liking the app! Esp when considering it IS a beta

I installed Twitter for BlackBerry on my Storm 2 and love it. Great looks and functionality. No issues so far. I do wish there was a way to make the Twitter app open automatically when you click on a Twitter link from email or the web. The default is the Twitter mobile site. Amazon’s app does this. Overall, I think its a great app and recommend it.
