FileScout v1.7 Premium Adds Nice Image Viewer

FileScout FileScout is one of those apps I use practically every day on my BlackBerry. It started off as a donationware file manager for BlackBerry but with the newly released premium version they have thrown in quite a few ancillary features. The newer v1.7 adds a very nice image viewer with next and previous commands so you can easily scroll through images.

FileScout has slowly been improving its image handling by first allowing you to resize images and then view thumbnails of images. With the latest additions in FileScout 1.7 it has turned into a fully featured image viewer.

You can find FileScout in the Store for $6.99 with a 14 day free trial. The core features of FileScout are still available free at and you can find a good breakdown comparison at this link.

Thanks to everyone who sent this one in!

  1. It is simply amazing what Matthias continues to add into such a compact application — it just continues to improve with each new version! 🙂

  2. also the new v1.7 fixes various Bluetooth issues – search for available BT devices should now only take few moments 😀

  3. Anyone know if FileScout Premium can read PDFs from device storage (not email)?

    • Should have read the features list before posting, sorry:

“PDF [requires installed “PDF to go” or “Repligo Reader” (incompatible with BeamReader)]”

      Oh well.
