I had never heard of Bccthis before they emailed us about their latest BlackBerry app. They have a relatively popular and well received Outlook plugin and have just released a BlackBerry client for it. The service allows you to attach private secure messages to select recipients in the To, CC, or Bcc fields while sending a message to a larger group of recipients.
Bccthis is useful since normally you would have to send a follow up email to the private recipients. No plugin is necessary for recipients to read the private messages which makes the service that much more useful. The app works with all types of email accounts from BIS to BES but is sadly limited to OS 4.6+ devices only.
You can read more about Bccthis at this link or pick it up free in App World at this link

From App World: “This application is not available on your device or for your carrier.” (9630, OS v4.7.1.61, VZW)

I checked on App World via PC — very limited list of supported devices for whatever reason (BlackBerry 8350i, BlackBerry 8520, BlackBerry 8530, BlackBerry 8900, BlackBerry 9000, and BlackBerry 9700), but no carrier restrictions…

If it’s at app world, then I’ll pass, especially since it’s only for a limited number of 4.6 and above devices.

This is Michael with Bccthis. Thank you all for checking our Bccthis for BlackBerry. As some of you have noted above, device support on App World is somewhat spotty still. We have several releases in the App World approval process as we speak, and expect to have a ton more devices available for download in the next few days!
Thanks,
Michael.

Thanks for the quick response. As many BlackBerry users (and developers) have discovered, the App World “approval process” is cumbersome and slow at best, not to mention riddled with bugs. Some developers have all but abandoned App World due to the ongoing issues.
